Protecting public health is at the core of what we do at Louisville Water. In fact, Louisville’s drinking water is rated as one of the top in the United States.

While Louisville Water replaced all its known lead service lines, water can pick up lead particles in privately owned pipes and plumbing materials made of lead.

Louisville Water has identified and invited select participants to join a limited Customer Service Line Replacement Program.

Based on our records, there are privately owned lead and/or galvanized service lines in certain areas.

We want to confirm the pipe material in these homes and if the lines are lead or galvanized, we will replace the customer lines for FREE (up to the shut-off valve).
