Louisville Water Public Relations Specialist Christy Ray and Community Relations Specialists Robert Calloway and Brad McBride sprang into action on June 28 when the city asked for help keeping people hydrated at the Louisville City FC groundbreaking for a new soccer stadium.
They set up a tent, coolers and cups to supply H2O to the crowd. The temperature was in the 90s, and the Louisville Water team went through nine coolers in an hour.
“Everyone — literally everyone — at the groundbreaking could not stop saying how much they appreciated the water. It was a scorcher!” said Jessica Wethington, Public Information Specialist for Louisville Metro Government. “Thank you for everything you do to keep the city cool.”
