Louisville Water Foundation, the charitable arm of Louisville Water Company, will donate $5,000 to the Louisville Area Chapter of the American Red Cross for relief efforts in Houston following Hurricane Harvey. “Our hearts go out to the Houston community,” said Spencer Bruce, Foundation President and Louisville Water’s President and CEO. “As southeast Texas recovers from this disaster, there are dozens of local Red Cross volunteers and staff who will help for several months. It’s important we support them.”
Louisville Water Company is also partnering with the Louisville Sports Commission and Fleet Feet Louisville to collect new and gently used shoes and socks for Houston residents. Items may be dropped off at Louisville Water Tower Park September 8 or 9 as part of the Louisville pure tap® 5K race. All items collected will be sent to the Fleet Feet stores in Houston and San Antonio for distribution.
