Crews brave frigid temps to keep water flowing

When temperatures dip below 32 degrees, residential pipes freeze and water mains break.

Tuesday morning, Plumber Leader Jason McGinty and crew worked a main break in the Crescent Hill neighborhood near Frankfort Avenue.

“We’re out here and it’s 15 degrees. We’re making sure our customers don’t lose water service,” McGinty said.

Despite the frigid temps, Louisville Water crews work around the clock to keep Louisville pure tap® flowing for customers.
