You'll soon start seeing a new look for Louisville Water's vehicles when they hit the road. The company's fleet is being updated with new paint and graphics as new vehicles are ordered.
"All graphics will be reflective, so in addition to the white color, the vehicles will be more visible during night operations," said Bill Malcolm, One Water Fleet Services Manager. "One other benefit is that retail sales of older vehicles being replaced will likely recover higher prices when sold when they are white."
Besides wanting to increase visibility and safety, Louisville Water is moving to the new look because "It has grown exceedingly difficult to maintain consistency in purchase of replacements with the same blue color across the fleet," Malcolm said.
Note that the blue wave shown in the photo above will be part of the design for the company's Ford Escapes and Jeeps but will not be included on large crew trucks.
