Service Outage Map
A water main break on your street or in your neighborhood can impact your water service. But don’t worry! Our crews restore water service as soon as possible. Please note: This map does not show water service shut off for non-payment.
Has there been a main break in your area?
If so, we recommend taking the following steps as a precaution once maintenance is complete and water is restored.
If temperatures are below freezing outside, we recommend following our cold weather tips to protect your pipes from the cold.
These tips clean out your indoor plumbing, getting rid of older water in the pipes and bringing in fresh, high-quality water.
- Run the cold-water faucets in your house for three to five minutes. Learn how to flush your water lines.
- Empty the automatic ice machine, allow it to fill again, and discard before using the ice maker.
- Flush the chilled water line in your refrigerator for one minute before drinking the water.
- If temporary service lines are installed, customers should only use the water for irrigation, showering, bathing, and restrooms. The water should not be consumed until customers are notified by Louisville Water.
