Our Culture

We believe quality water = quality of life.

Louisville Water’s history of providing the community with reliable, high-quality drinking water goes back as far as the 1800s.

As a lifeline to the city and an important contributor to the local economy, we are proud to serve nearly one million people every day.

Employees embody our company mission. As a result, they identify innovations that keep Louisville Water ranked as one of the best water utilities in the nation, they seek professional development opportunities to enhance their own skillset, and they approach every project with the thoughtful strategies they’d expect to see for developments in their own community.

This unwavering commitment to the company’s mission is why our growing company has more than 400 employees, many of whom stay with the company until retirement.

Once you’re an employee, you’re a part of the Louisville Water family for life.

“We want Louisville Water to be a place where people desire to work, a place where people are fulfilled in the work they do, a place where they can build a career, and a place where they can have an impact on the entire community.”

Terrence Spence
Vice President, Human Resources and Labor Relations
