A Familiar Face Rising to a New Role

Jeremy Raney being sworn inWith an official oath in the books at Louisville Water’s Board of Water Works meeting on June 16, there’s a new member on the Executive Leadership Team. But it’s a familiar face.

Having most recently served as Louisville Water’s director of engineering, Jeremy Raney was sworn in as the company’s vice president of distribution operations and customer service.

Raney will oversee the distribution operations, metering & billing, and customer service departments.


“I am genuinely excited about this opportunity. Having started my career in operations, I look forward to engaging with our field crews and management team,” Raney shared. “The customer service component of this role is a new and exciting area for me, and I am eager to learn and contribute to the team’s success.”

Comprising more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience with water utilities and municipal infrastructure, Raney has an established record directing $100 million-plus capital improvement programs.

“We are looking forward to Jeremy moving to his new role and continuing the success of our customer service and distribution operations area,” said President & CEO Spencer Bruce. “His strong relationships across the organization and experience both at Louisville Water and Metro Louisville will be extremely valuable as he steps into this opportunity”.

Raney graduated from the University of Louisville with Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees.

He is actively involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Water Works Association. He also serves on the board of directors with WaterStep.
