A helping hand

“It was a great year — best year since I have been the coordinator,” said Tim Kraus, Louisville Water Vice President of Production Operations, Chief Engineer, and volunteer captain for the water stop in front of the Third Street office during the Kentucky Derby Festival mini and Marathon.

In all, about 45 volunteers helped with the stop this year. “I am so appreciative of the many volunteers who just jump in and work,” Kraus added. “Many have done it for so long, they just know what to do. It makes my job so easy. A huge thanks to everyone that volunteered!”

Kraus is shown in the second photo below with volunteer (and Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations) Terrence Spence. Kraus is also shown (kind of) in the third photo below because he suited up to take on the role of Tapper for the race.
