Bride’s fairy-tale dreams come true at Louisville Water Tower Park

When college sweethearts Sarah Debnekoff and Pat DiSalvio started planning their wedding two years ago, they never imagined masks would be part of their attire.

The lovebirds are graduates of Morehead State University and Pat popped the question with a romantic Beauty and the Beast themed proposal at Whitehall.

When choosing the venue for their reception, Sarah said the staff at Louisville Water Tower Park made the coordinating simple and easy, even during a pandemic.

“We had an amazing experience with our wedding reception at the Water Tower. Our little wedding was perfect,” she said.

Sarah and Pat have the distinction of being the first couple to have a wedding reception at Louisville Water Tower Park since the venue closed in March due to COVID-19.

Socially distanced guests wearing medical masks were a sign of the times.

When inside the Grand Hall and Pumping Station No. 3, Sarah and Pat wore wedding-themed masks for photos, but took them off when they posed for more traditional wedding pictures on the patio overlooking the Ohio River.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better day,” she said.
