Buy Local returns to Louisville Water Tower Park

The Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) will host its annual Buy Local Fair on Sat., Aug. 14 from 12 to 5 p.m. at Louisville Water Tower, 3005 River Road. Presented by Louisville Water Company, admission to the Buy Local Fair is free, and parking is $6 per vehicle in advance ($8 day at the gate) or free for bicycle parking.

Last year’s Buy Local Fair was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year organizers said booths will be further apart and more room is being incorporated in the layout of the fair to help with social distancing and to help you stay healthy and hydrated, B.Y.O. Bottle! Don’t forget to bring a reusable water bottle with you. Look for the Louisville Pure Tap™ to Go station, where you can fill up your water bottle for free.

The fair will include a marketplace of more than 80 booths from local businesses, artists and craftspeople, community organizations, and farmers including HoneyBear Farms, Rainbow Blossom, Comfy Cow, Barn Doors and More, and Bamba Egg Roll Company plus so much more. Some featured events include:

• Craft Beer Tent sponsored by ValuMarket
• Heaven Hill Bourbon Tent
• Cox’s Spirit Shoppes Back Porch, located on the patio of Louisville Water Tower Park where you can enjoy the view overlooking the river
• Four Pegs Smokehouse & Bar Dining Tent to sit under the shade while eating from one of the many food and drink vendors
• Abbey Road On The River’s Beatlemania by DJ Kim Sorise for some fun music and dancing

There will one virtual event this year: an online Silent Auction starting Wed., Aug. 11 on the LIBA website.
