Fall Family Fun Fest

Louisville Water’s reach doesn’t stop flowing at the county line. We were thrilled to share the importance of Louisville Pure Tap® at the Fall Family Fun Fest in Bullitt County on September 10!

Organized by Bullitt County Coalition for Recreation, Education, and Wellness (CREW), the event drew about 200 people to the Mt. Washington Sports Complex.

Families learned about the importance of being physically, mentally, and emotionally well. Children took “passports” to each table where they completed an activity to earn a stamp.

Louisville Water’s table featured a display of several sugary drinks that showed just how much sugar is in each bottle compared to sugar-free Pure Tap. Education & Outreach Specialist Heather Hill said, “Many parents were surprised to learn the amount of sugar in those drinks. Some even used it as a teaching tool to explain to their children why they can’t have unlimited soft drinks and juices. So we really enjoyed letting Bullitt County families know about the health benefits of Pure Tap.”

Kids also made their own healthy food bracelet and everyone took home a reusable water bottle to fill, drink, repeat.

Once the children filled up their passports, they were entered into a drawing for prizes. We’re not talking about pencils or stickers here folks, the prizes included sporting equipment, board games, art supplies, and even bicycles!

Congratulations to 9-year-old Madalynne from Mt. Washington who won the Louisville Water swag bag!
