Halloween treats for children in Portland

The Louisville Water Employee Activities Committee is working with the Rajon Rondo Foundation to provide some sweet and not so sweet treats for children this Halloween. Louisville Water donated about 500 Louisville Water reusable bottles and bookmarks that will be packaged together with face masks and of course candy to give to children in the Portland neighborhood.

Both Louisville Water and Rajon Rondo Foundation staff will distribute these trick-or-treat packages on today, Fri., Oct. 29 at the Neighborhood House in Louisville.

Louisville Water has been involved with the Rajon Rondo Foundation since 2019. The Foundation started locker room projects around Louisville to help children earn a variety of items and incentives with positive behavior.

One of those locker room honors Louisville Water employee Jimmy Stone who was killed in July 2019 while working at a job site. Jimmy’s widow, Carla Stone, along with employees and Louisville Water’s Local 1683, partnered with the Rajon Rondo Foundation to open the Jimmy Stone Memorial Locker Room Project in December 2019 at the Neighborhood House.
