Louisville Pure Tap™ tops the class once again for quality

Louisville Water gets A+ for drinking water quality in 2021 Annual Water Quality Report

Every day, Louisville Water Company produces some of the most high-quality drinking water in the United States.

Our water, Louisville Pure Tap™, gets high marks for quality, taste, and value in Louisville Water’s Annual Water Quality Report.

The report highlights Louisville Water’s 2021 test results for Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)- regulated substances at treatment plants, within the distribution system, and at select customers’ taps.

The report also outlines our treatment process, the sources of the drinking water, information on our lead program, and more.

Customers can view the full 2021 report and see how Louisville Water met or exceeded the strict health requirements established by the EPA by visiting LouisvilleWater.com/WaterQualityReport.

“Hundreds of dedicated employees work around the clock delivering water to nearly one million people every day,” said Kelley Dearing Smith, Vice President of Communications and Marketing for Louisville Water. “These results are further evidence of Louisville Water’s long-standing tradition and commitment to excellent water quality.”

What better time to share this news than during “Drinking Water Week” which was established by the American Water Works Association in 1988. Now through May 7 join Louisville Water in celebrating the vital role that drinking water plays in our lives, the infrastructure that is required to carry it to and from homes and businesses, and the critical work that water professionals accomplish around the clock to ensure the delivery of quality tap water.
