Tapper made a surprise appearance at two Dreams With Wings summer camps to hand out reusable water bottles and remind the campers about healthy hydration.
Dreams With Wings is a Louisville-based nonprofit that serves children, teens, young adults, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism.
“The Achieving Dreams and Dreams In Motion summer camps are the highlight of the year for Dreams With Wings clients ages seven to 21,” said Heather Sauer, the organization’s Teen & Young Adult Program Director.
“We have enjoyed our longstanding relationship with the Louisville Water Company and look forward to their visits each summer,” Sauer added. “Tapper is always a hit, and the Louisville Water Company team is wonderful to work with!”
At each camp, Tapper joined the festivities at the end of a presentation by Barbara Crow, Louisville Water Community Relations Specialist, who led science experiments and talked about the importance of water in our community.
Overall, Dreams With Wings serves more than 300 people in its programs, which include ages 7 to 87. The organization provides services that help their clients find fulfilling jobs, live in a home of their own, participate in the community, and enjoy an enriched life.
