As summer winds down, a brand new semester filled with learning begins for UofL students. On Friday night, incoming freshmen and returning students enjoyed a “welcome party” at the Student Recreation Center.
While learning about all the different services and programs available to them, they also learned a quick lesson about Louisville Pure Tap®. Students snagged an exclusive Cardinal red-lidded, Pure Tap bottle to fill up at 20 hydration stations across campus. A flier inside the bottle highlights the award-winning Pure Tap students are so lucky to have at their disposal.
It was refreshing to hear unsolicited comments from students how delicious Pure Tap tastes or how they were so glad to have Pure Tap again, compared to the water in other states!
Louisville Water and UofL first teamed up in 2015. It’s a win-win all around. “Many incoming freshmen are new to Louisville, so we want to include Pure Tap as part of their introduction to our city and all it has to offer! When you’re here, you’ll always have access to clean, safe, and great-tasting water. UofL has been a terrific partner in helping promote Pure Tap and healthy hydration. We look forward to continuing to grow this partnership in the future,” said Kayla Hanak, Pure Tap Public Relations Specialist.
UofL Dining Services and the Sustainability Department is on a mission to promote Pure Tap and reusable bottles on campus. The bottle fill stations have saved more than 1.5 million plastic bottles from going to the landfill.
