Dykstra is the Chief Possibility Officer President & Chief Executive Officer of Family Scholar House, Inc. She is committed to promoting the importance of education as an asset which provides long-term self-sufficiency for participants through career-track employment. Dykstra has led Family Scholar House’s geographic expansion to serve other communities in our region; developed and launched the affiliate program to replicate the Family Scholar House model; added the Foster Alumni pre-parent residential program; and completed over $59 million in construction of five campuses in Louisville.

Additionally, Dykstra co-chaired Louisville Metro’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan for Louisville Metro Government. She was selected for Louisville Business First’s 2023 Power 50, a curated list of the most influential leaders in the Greater Louisville business community. And in September 2023, Dykstra received the Mayor’s Spirit of Louisville Award (part of WLKY’s Annual Bell Awards) for her dedication to community service.

“Cathe is a great addition to the Board of Water Works. Her experience and dedication to community service will ensure that Louisville Water maintains its status as one of the premier water utilities in the country,” said Spencer Bruce, Louisville Water President and CEO. “I’ve known Cathe for many years and look forward to working with her as the newest member of our Board.”
