Louisville Water Tower Welcomes Back the Pure Tap 5K

The family- and dog-friendly Louisville Pure Tap® 5K walk/run will be held Saturday, September 7 at Louisville Water Tower. The event was held at Shawnee Park last year because of restoration work at the Tower, but the historic facility is fully ready for the 2024 Pure Tap 5K.

Walkers and runners will take off at 8:30 a.m., and the race will be professionally chip-timed. Participants will receive a commemorative short-sleeve race shirt and custom finishers medal. Online registration ($30) closes on Friday, September 6. You also can register on race day as long as the 5K has not reached its capacity of 550.

There is an additional $10 dog registration fee, with proceeds supporting Friends of Metro Animal Services. Dogs will receive a special bandana to recognize their participation.

We’re proud the Pure Tap 5K kicks off the new Planet Fitness Mayorthon race series. All ages and fitness levels are welcome.
