Easter Parade back after two-year hiatus

Bunny ears as far as the eye could see — on people, pets, and cars. Even on real, live bunnies.

Nearly 2,000 people crowded the Crescent Hill neighborhood on Saturday for the 28th Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade.

Residents, restaurants, and business owners were happy to see it back after a two-year shutdown because of the pandemic.

Louisville Water was a parade sponsor and provided water for the event. Tapper, the Louisville Water mascot, entertained the crowd and handed out Easter treats.

The Frankfort Avenue Business Association named “the businesses of Frankfort Avenue” as this year’s grand marshal.

Floats, clowns, classic cars, and political candidates made their way down the main business corridor and handed out candy to children waiting along the sidewalk with their Easter baskets.
