Customer Service Representative Shenita Hutchings led a highly successful “Share the Warmth” clothing drive over the holidays.
She said her collection box was “full to the top” with gloves, hats, scarves and socks before she delivered the donations to Wayside Christian Mission on January 24.
“I want to thank all the employees who contributed,” Hutchings said. “They helped a lot of people this winter.”
After the donation, she received a letter from Michael Blunk, a Chaplain at Wayside. (He’s shown with Hutchins in the photo).
“We appreciate the generous winter clothing donation from Louisville Water Company employees,” Blunk wrote.
“As Louisville’s oldest and largest rescue mission,” he added, “we care for some six hundred homeless women, men and children. In-kind donations such as this are vital to our operations.”
