Rural Bullitt County to weigh Louisville Water options

Louisville Water, county and state agencies are weighing water options for residents in the Roe Hill Road area of Bullitt County.

The Bullitt County Fiscal Court and the Kentuckiana Regional Planning Development Agency (KIPDA) will hold a public meeting to discuss a proposed pump station and distribution water main that would serve residents near Roe Hill Road, Kerr Lane, P’Poole Lane and Perkins Court.

Louisville Water Project Engineer Joey Bentley said the purpose of the meeting is to give the public a chance to review and comment on plans for the proposed project. Residents will also complete an income survey that will help secure funding from the Community Development Block Grant and a lower interest rate on the loan for the project.

“If you live on one of these roads and want city water, please attend this public meeting. We need your participation in order to make this project happen,” Bentley said.

The meeting will be held Tues. March 3 at the Nichols Branch of the Bullitt County Public Library located at 10729 Highway 44 West, West Point, KY 40177 at 7 p.m.
