The rain didn’t stop a large crowd from checking out the Louisville Local Business Expo hosted by LIBA, the Louisville Independent Business Association. More than 300 people attended the event which offered a unique opportunity for the community to meet with local businesses along with learning key business practices such as creating a strategic marketing plan, evaluating their website, how to grab the media’s attention, and perfecting pictures to increase their social media engagement.
Louisville Water is a proud LIBA member and shared all the great things about Louisville Pure Tap®. Because if you shop local, it only makes sense to Drink Like a Local. Guests stayed hydrated with Pure Tap and entered the giveaway for some exclusive Pure Tap swag!
The expo also provided business owners and employees with a chance to meet other vendors who can fulfill one of their own needs. That includes Louisville Water.
“We were able to meet with lots of great organizations who had questions about events and water resources,” said Community Relations Supervisor Kayla Hanak. “It was a definitely good connection point and community engagement opportunity for us to let people know about our different Pure Tap on the Go options!”
LIBA says buying local is just as important to consider for business purchases as it is for personal ones. The organization reports that a market shift of 10% to local independent businesses equals $416 million that stays in our regional economy.
Louisville Water is proud to host LIBA’s upcoming speaker series at Louisville Water Tower on Wednesday, February 21. Stay tuned for more details!
