Overheard at Louisville Slugger Field, “Pure Tap is where it’s at!”
That winning endorsement came from a woman who stopped by Louisville Water’s table set up for Education Day at the Louisville Bats game. She added she wished she lived in Louisville so she could enjoy high-quality Pure Tap all the time.
Hundreds of students and teachers were in the stands for Wednesday’s morning game, and helped cheer on Tapper as he threw the first pitch to Buddy Bat. The strong-armed pitch was the icing on the cake for Tapper who celebrated his birthday on May 8! He stuck around for the first few innings to pose for photos with excited kids.
Education & Outreach Specialist Heather Hill and Community Relations Specialist Barbara Crow took advantage of Drinking Water Week to illustrate why it’s important to choose healthy drinks such as Pure Tap over more sugary beverages. A selection of drinks with their sugar content in full view was eye-opening, especially for teachers. Crow said they received several requests for Louisville Water to come to classrooms to share the lesson.
Pure Tap pro-tip: Bring your empty reusable bottle to your next Bats game and stay hydrated with several bottle filling stations along the concourse. You can’t miss the specially branded fountains located near the restrooms.
And score! What a cool surprise when two Bats fans stopped by the table and shared that they were the first visitors to the WaterWorks Museum at Louisville Water Tower when it opened in March 2014. You’re invited to join us at the Tower this Sunday, May 12 for admission to the museum plus a tour of the Tower and a working pumping station.
