Kids participating in the Cultural Pass program this summer have been visiting the Louisville Water Tower and WaterWorks Museum to see the history of the city’s drinking water come to life.
The program offers young people in the Greater Louisville area up to age 21 (and their families) a way to participate in arts and cultural activities provided by more than 50 venues free of charge.
At the Tower, children can dress up like water company employees, go on scavenger hunts, and build their own towers. The WaterWorks Museum features archives of historic photos, films, and memorabilia, some of which date from 1860.
Upcoming Cultural Pass days:
- Thursday, July 11: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Sunday, July 14: noon to 5 p.m.
- Thursday, July 25: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Louisville Water Tower also hosts group tours and field trips.
