Louisville Water Tower has played host to iconic weekend music festivals, employee picnics, fundraising walks, family reunions, and more for over 30 years.

In addition to the magnificent river view, we offer:

  • 10-acre lawn with abundant space for tents, games, etc.
  • Convenient location right off of I-71 at Zorn Avenue
  • Ample free parking
  • Adjacent to the historic Louisville Water Tower – a perfect backdrop for group photos

The following details are estimated maximum measurements, per designated locations. Many variables may alter these estimates, therefore capacities listed are approximate values.

Additional Event Information

Outdoor Rental Rates

Rental rates are based on the total number of expected attendees for the event:

  • 0 – 499 attendees: $500/day
  • 500 – 4,999 attendees: $2000/day
  • 5000 + attendees: $2,500/day

Amenities

Outdoor rental rates include the rental and the following amenities:

  • Open vendor policy
  • Free Louisville Pure Tap® service with two week advance notice
  • On-site staff person for the duration of the event
  • 24-hour rental time

Vendor Requirements

There are no restrictions in choosing vendors for food, beverages, equipment, music, parking services, security, flowers, photography, etc. as long as they supply proper licensing and insurance.

Rental Process

Rental applications are reviewed by the Louisville Water team and notifications off approval/denial will be sent out within two weeks of the application submission date. During that time, the available date is placed on a hold without a deposit. A signed contract and deposit are required within 14 days of the event’s approval to secure your date. Please keep in mind that Summer and Fall are busy seasons for outdoor events, so we encourage you to book your date as soon as possible.

After your date is secure, the following items must be submitted 60 days prior to the event. If these documents are not received by that date, Louisville Water Tower reserves the right to cancel the event.

  • List of all Vendors & Service Providers with contact information.
  • Event Layout
  • Load In / Out Schedule
  • Tent Permit if applicable
  • Inclement Weather Plan
  • Copy of Food Vendor Health Inspections
  • Copy of Alcohol Beverage License
  • Certificate of insurance, listing Louisville Water Company & Board of Water Works et al. as additional insureds (where applicable) for the following:
    • Automobile Liability Insurance – $1,000,000
    • Commercial General Liability Insurance – $5,000,000 (except for music events and events with a capacity exceeding 5,000 where such limit shall be no less than $10,000,000)
    • Workers’ Compensation Insurance – Statutory Limits
    • Employer’s Liability Insurance – $1,000,000 / $1,000,000 / $1,000,000
    • Liquor Liability Insurance – $2,000,000 per occurrence / $5,000,000 aggregate (only required if alcohol will be served)
