Appointments accepted for LIHWAP

The Louisville Metro Office of Resilience and Community Services is accepting appointments for the new Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP).

Similar to the longstanding Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), LIHWAP is a temporary emergency water/wastewater program intended to provide financial help to low-income individuals and families during the COVID-19 pandemic.

LIHWAP consists of two components: the Crisis Component, which provides assistance to eligible households experiencing a home water service crisis; and the Subsidy Component, which provides assistance to all eligible households regardless of the status of their water bill.
