Hundreds of kids touch a truck

Louisville Water was part of the Kentucky Science Center’s Touch a Truck event on June 26.

The utility’s Heavy Equipment Operator Brad Frans and Graduated Apprentice Laborer Josh Newton helped children explore a crane/plate truck that is used to place large metal plates over excavations during main repairs.

More than 1,500 children attended the event, which also included fire trucks, a school bus, a recycling truck, a taco truck, and the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.

A Louisville Water hydration station offered Louisville Pure TapTM bottles. (Even the Wienermobile crew wanted them.)
