Guests had their pick of “water bars” set up around Highland Festival Grounds across from the fairgrounds. There was certainly a steady flow of people taking advantage of the free Pure Tap. Hydration was key to staying safe in the heat and humidity. It was refreshing to hear several performers reinforce that message.

Country star Zach Bryan even paused mid-song to check on fans who appeared distressed and asked for a thumbs up before he resumed the show. He urged everyone to drink plenty of water.

Louisville Water’s partnership with Danny Wimmer Productions allows fans to bring one empty, reusable bottle into the music festivals to fill up at Pure Tap stations.

The partnership began when the company brought Louder than Life to Louisville in 2014, originally held at Champions Park across from Louisville Water Tower. It has since grown with Louisville Water sponsoring the “free water bars” which connect to water mains that circle the property.
