Investments Support Commitment to High-Quality Drinking Water

New Louisville Water Rates for 2025

Louisville Water TankThe new year brings several projects on tap which equal critical investments and improvements that allow Louisville Water to keep Louisville Pure Tap® flowing into the next century.

Providing high-quality, reliable drinking water is the primary reason Louisville Water exists. We are an anchor in our community, and we take great pride in our responsibility.

Investing in our infrastructure-which includes more than 4,300 miles of water main, dozens of pumping stations and storage tanks, and two award-winning water treatment plants-is essential to producing and delivering 129 million gallons of Pure Tap every day to nearly a million people.

In November 2024, the Board of Water Works, the governing body for Louisville Water, approved the 2025 operating and capital budgets. These budgets guide the company’s infrastructure plans and drinking water rates.

Kids drinking pure tapDespite increases in the costs for chemicals, power, contractual services, and insurance, we’ve managed to minimize the impact on our customers. Beginning January 1, residential customers will see an average monthly increase of $1.20 on their bill. To put that in perspective, you can still fill up one gallon with Pure Tap for less than a penny!

Keeping the focus on our customers and their needs, Louisville Water offers financial assistance through Drops of Kindness. Customers who can do so also have the option to support the program by donating to Drops of Kindness on their bill.
