Kentucky Rural Water Association meets bourbon’s best friend at annual conference

The Kentucky Rural Water Association held its annual conference and exhibition show at the Galt House Hotel where Louisville Water proudly displayed the important role water plays in the state’s booming bourbon industry.

The 42nd annual event was held Aug. 23 through Aug. 25 and welcomed utility companies and water industry professionals from across Kentucky.

Government Affairs Consultant Vince Guenthner and Regional Development Project Manager Patti Kaelin talked with attendees about Louisville Water’s partnerships with nearly 20 distilleries that depend on Louisville Pure Tap™ to make their bourbon.

In addition to attending the three-day conference, participants were also welcomed to Louisville Water Tower Park for a facility tour.

The Kentucky Rural Water Association is based out of Bowling Green and is the largest utility organization in the state.
