Louisville Water keeps kids hydrated at LouCity soccer camp

Louisville City FC’s sold-out soccer camps kicked off with a lesson on hydration from Louisville Water.

At a safe, social distance Louisville Water Communications Consultant Barbara Crow talked to dozens of campgoers at Thurman Hutchins Park about the importance of healthy summer hydration.

To help the kids remember to drink plenty of Louisville pure tap® on and off the field, Crow encouraged them to cheer “drink more water” while holding colorful signs.

“We want to thank the Louisville Water Company for their support of LouCity soccer camps and providing our campers education on the importance of hydration for sports,” said Mario Sanchez, LouCity’s director of youth development.

During the summer, a good rule of thumb is to “drink eight.”

“We recommend customers drink eight glasses of pure tap®…and take reusable water bottles when you are on the go,” said Louisville Water’s vice president of communication, Kelley Dearing Smith.

The hydration talks before each camp are part of a partnership between Louisville City FC and Louisville Water. When the season kicks off in July, fans will enjoy three hydration stations at the new Lynn Family Stadium.
