Popular clothing boutique Altar’d State donates $4K to Louisville Water Foundation

Altar’d State, a popular women’s clothing boutique in Oxmoor Mall, donated more than $4,000 to the Louisville Water Foundation as part of their Mission Monday initiative.

According to the store’s website, 10 percent of net proceeds go directly to local charities across the country every Monday.

Store Leader Alexis Jennings said the fundraising efforts exceeded her team’s expectation.

“We raised $4,084.69, which is the highest total for Mission Monday that we have had in a while!” Jennings said.

The donation will help Louisville Water Foundation’s mission to improve the health and well-being of communities by providing water assistance and water education.

Louisville Water President & CEO Spencer Bruce said the donation was a welcomed surprise.

“We had no idea they were raising money for the Foundation. It’s nice to know that they thought of Louisville Water to help make a difference,” Bruce said.

Part of Altar’d State’s mission is to “serve as an inspiration, empower others and give more than we receive. We do this by lifting those who need a helping hand,” the website states.
