Louisville Water’s treatment plants recently earned two top honors in the annual awards presented by the Partnership for Safe Water, an alliance of six national drinking water organizations.
- The B. E. Payne Water Treatment Plant and the Crescent Hill Water Treatment Plant earned the Phase III 20 Year Directors Award for Water Treatment.
- The Crescent Hill plant also earned the Five Year Phase IV Excellence in Water Treatment Award.
The awards recognize water utilities “for their long-term commitment to optimizing operations, achieving outstanding performance, and protecting the environment and public health,” according to the Partnership for Safe Water.
The 2020 awards ceremony was held virtually, and a video is available on YouTube.
The recent awards join a long list of honors our treatment plants and our water have received over the years.
