If you’ve driven down River Road lately between Zorn Avenue and Blankenbaker Lane, you probably noticed it was a smoother ride. Louisville Water’s residual line project has moved along quickly in a little over three months, and once work was completed, crews repaved the road.
Since the project began on March 10, crews have installed more than a third of the pipes or a little over 1,100 pieces.
We are currently working in Zone 2 on River Road between Blankenbaker Lane and Lime Kiln Lane, more specifically in the area near Boxhill Lane and the River Valley Club.
You may be wondering what exactly is happening inside the active work zones. Here’s a look at what we’re doing to ensure we continue providing you with high-quality drinking water!
We appreciate your patience and your caution when driving near the active work zones. Louisville Water wants to keep you and our crews safe.
Important things to know:
- This is a multi-phase project along River Road with rolling closures.
- Customers will not lose water service during construction.
- Restaurants and businesses along River Road will remain open during the project.
This project will continue through this year and into 2026. Our goal is to finish most of the work on River Road by next summer.
