Buy Local Block Party Held in West Louisville

Buy Local West LouisvilleOvercast weather didn’t keep dozens of local businesses from shining bright in the first-ever West End Buy Local Block Party.

Louisville Independent Business Association (LIBA) hosted the October 14 event at the Nia Center. Small businesses and entrepreneurs from West Louisville had the opportunity to highlight their services and products to potential customers.

Louisville Water hydrated everyone with high-quality Louisville Pure Tap® and handed out reusable bottles. We also shared helpful tips on detecting leaks, locating the main water shutoff valve, and provided a hanging tag to label it. Younger guests created healthy food bracelets and Tapper tattoos.

The ACE Project brought its Acepreneur program to the block party with hopes of inspiring the youngest minds to realize they can overcome challenges, set goals, and grow up to be successful in whatever they choose. The program offers mentoring, teaches financial literacy, and supports business development.
