Concrete Benefits of the Residual Line Project

In a mere three months, Louisville Water’s residual line project has progressed at a much quicker pace than originally anticipated. Since the project began on March 10, crews have installed roughly 37% of the pipe or a little over 1,100 pieces.

We are currently working in Zone 2 on River Road between Blankenbaker Lane and Lime Kiln Lane, more specifically in the area that stretches from Longview Lane to Box Hill Lane.

Louisville Water is committed to providing residents with access to the homes, parks, and businesses along River Road. As we move east toward our B.E. Payne Water Treatment Plant in Prospect, we are reaping the benefits of quick-drying concrete in the process.

  • This is a multi-phase project along River Road with rolling closures.
  • Customers will not lose water service during construction.
  • Restaurants and businesses along River Road will remain open during the project.

This project will continue through this year and into 2026. Our goal is to finish most of the work on River Road by next summer.
