The rich history of Louisville Water is proudly displayed on 32 flags installed Thursday at the beautiful Crescent Hill Reservoir and Gatehouse.
Each flag details a fun fact of the company’s founding engineers, historic buildings, and impact on Louisville’s culture.
The first flag situated to right of the Gatehouse near the top of the steps welcomes visitors to learn about Louisville Water as they take a lap around the Reservoir.
The picture below shows the sixth flag featuring water pioneer Charles Hermany.
Visitors can walk or run while reading each flag that surrounds the pathway.
The Reservoir is open every day from dawn to dusk. One lap around equals about a mile.
