A notable item on the agenda for today’s meeting of the Board of Water Works (Louisville Water’s governing body) was the administration of an Oath of Office to Larry Bryant, who is now the company’s Vice President of Production Operations and Chief Engineer.
“Larry brings over 30 years of engineering and management experience to this role,” said Louisville Water President & CEO Spencer Bruce.
Bryant has worked for more than 21 years in engineering, plant maintenance, and plant operations for Louisville Water. Prior to his positions at the company, he worked in both the automotive and aluminum industries as an electrical engineer, lead project engineer, and maintenance team leader.
Bryant received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees from the University of Louisville. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Kentucky. He also holds a Class-IVA water treatment license in Kentucky and a WTP-3 water treatment license in Indiana.
A member of the American Water Works Association, the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Bryant’s professional awards and honors include serving as the Louisville Section Chair for IEEE and receiving their Louisville Section Service Award. He also has received the Julian Carroll Kentucky Management Award from the Kentucky Labor-Management Conference.
