Louisville City FC and Louisville Water Company are partnering to allow soccer fans to bring reusable water bottles to games for the 2021 season. Attendees can use one of Louisville Water’s three bottle-refill stations located in the East, West, and Southern concourses of Lynn Family Stadium to fill up for free and stay hydrated during games.
Each station has a different hydration message, and provides the same great-tasting, high-quality drinking water customers enjoy all over the city.
“Lynn Family Stadium is proud to allow fans the opportunity to bring in empty, clear bottles for our games,” said Mitch Ried, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Louisville City FC & Racing Louisville FC. “The Louisville Water touch-free, bottle-refill stations offer our fans a safe and environmentally friendly option to stay hydrated.”
To celebrate Earth Day, Louisville Water announced that similar bottle-refill stations around the city, including the ones at Lynn Family Stadium, have saved over 2.6 million plastic bottles from the landfill.
“As a major contributor of the area’s effort to reduce the need for or use of single-use plastics, we want to be where our community is,” said Kelley Dearing Smith, Vice President of Communications & Marketing at Louisville Water. “Louisville loves soccer and we’re happy to support fans and the team with easy access to our water, Louisville pure tap®.”
To kick-off the campaign, at Louisville City FC’s opening game on Saturday, 600 fans were surprised with Louisville pure tap® bottles at their seats, and more pop-up giveaways are planned for the rest of the season. Louisville Water also participates in the annual LouCity FC Spring Break Youth Soccer Camp, where our educators help young players understand the value of healthy hydration.
