Louisville Water partnered with Bullitt County officials for a water main extension on Roe Hill Road that will bring new water service and fire protection to 37 households. It is a complex main extension that includes more than two miles of pipe, a new pumping station, and the installation of a fire hydrant.
“A unique combination of funding made this $2.6 million project possible,” said Louisville Water President & CEO Spencer Bruce. “Money from a Community Development Block Grant, the Bullitt County American Rescue Plan, Bullitt County Fiscal Court, the Louisville Water Foundation, and a contribution from Louisville Water will bring clean, safe water to the homeowners.”
Louisville Water’s contractor, Basham Construction, started work this month. The project will take about a year to complete.
