Portion of Stilz Avenue closing for three months

This is part of Louisville Water’s Frankfort Avenue Main Replacement Project

Beginning Mon., Jan. 3, 2022, Louisville Water Company will close Stilz Avenue between Grinstead Drive and Frankfort Avenue as part of the Frankfort Avenue Main Replacement Project. Traffic is being rerouted from Lexington Road to Cannons Lane.

The work on Stilz Avenue should be completed in April of 2022.

Louisville Water will continue its main installation work on Frankfort Avenue. The Chenoweth Lane to Brownsboro Road detour remains in effect. Frankfort Avenue also remains reduced to one eastbound lane.

Louisville Water’s yearlong Frankfort Avenue Main Replacement Project replaces critical water mains near the Crescent Hill Water Treatment Plant. The project is still on target to be completed by September of 2022.

All businesses along Frankfort Avenue remain open during the project work. Louisville Water will provide additional updates as the project progresses.
