Usage Alerts Are Back: New Pure Connect℠ Feature Helps You Stay in Control of Your Water Usage

We’re excited to announce the return of a popular feature to help customers spot unusual activity early. Custom water usage alerts are now available in Pure Connect℠, Louisville Water’s online customer portal.

If you had notifications set up in the previous portal, your settings have been transferred. You may experience an increase in communications from Louisville Water as we reintroduce this feature.


Notifications mobileIf you did not set up notifications before, you can now set the following:

  • Unplanned usage alerts: Unexpected spikes that may indicate a leak or running fixtures during a set period like a planned vacation.
  • Leak alerts: Water that never fully stops over a 48-hour period.
  • High-usage alerts: Threshold-based alerts that help you determine when your usage is trending higher than normal.

“These tools were available to customers in our previous portal, and we know many of you have been waiting for them to return,” said Megan Hancock, Louisville Water’s director of customer service. “We have appreciated your patience as we’ve worked to bring them back even better.”


Water issues often go unnoticed until they become costly. With customizable alerts, you can catch unusual activity early – protecting your home, saving money, and using water more efficiently.

Bonus: Louisville Water offers a WaterPro Water Leak Protection Plan℠, which provides financial relief from excess water charges caused by undetected leaks for just $3 a month. This coupled with our new alerts feature is a great way to protect yourself from unexpected messes.


How to get started

  1. Log in to Pure Connect and hover over the “Overview” tab.
  2. Select the “Edit Profile” option and then select “Notifications” on the lefthand side.
  3. Set the thresholds and alert types that make sense for your household.
  4. We’ll notify you by email or text when something needs your attention.
