All Living Things Need Water

“They drink it.”
“They take a bath in it.”
“They can swim in it.”
“They can live in it!”

Students at Life of Faith Bible Church chimed in with answers about the different reasons animals need water.

Louisville Water Educator Susan Sampson says what really impressed her was, “They could pick up the differences between how people and animals use water and how they could pick up they’re the same (in some ways).”

One fifth grader eagerly shared the biggest way we’re not alike.

“We can’t live in water, some species can,” he said.

Following Imagine a Day Without Water on October 19, these students were doing the opposite and thinking of all the ways we use water every day.

We drink water, cook with it, bathe in it, play in it, brush our teeth, and yes, we can even eat water!

Their teacher Mrs. Isenberg expressed her love for drinking Louisville Pure Tap® the best way, from the tap.

“When we moved back here from West Virginia, the first thing we did was go to the faucet and get a drink of water,” Isenberg said. “We could not wait to get back here for the water, if nothing else. We were like ‘yay, we don’t have to buy water from the store anymore’, because we love Louisville Water.”
