A painting that was once displayed outside Louisville Water’s corporate office was recently auctioned at a community showcase to promote city-wide unity.
“Incase You Forgot,” by local artist Tone Vallejo shows colorful TVs upon a piece a plywood that was part of a safety shield near the building entrance.
“I’m using lots of color and lots of texture in this painting…to send a positive message,” Vallejo said.

Louisville Water was among several downtown businesses that participated in the Tearing Down Walls Together showcase sponsored by the Global Economic Diversity Development Initiative (GEDDI).
According to the organization’s website, the artist showcase provided an opportunity for the community to move forward together after the social unrest in downtown Louisville.
