Ken Marshall Appointed to Board of Water Works

Ken Marshall being sworn in to BOWWLouisville Water’s Board of Water Works recently welcomed its newest member Ken Marshall, who serves as UofL Health’s chief operating officer.

Marshall officially stepped into the role at the May 20 Board meeting with a swearing-in ceremony.

Marshall’s career includes 30 years of executive experience in the hospital and health system sector in addition to senior leadership roles in for-profit and nonprofit organizations. He has an extensive background of overseeing operations, managing financial and organizational transformation, and leading public policy initiatives.


Ken Marshall headshotMarshall graduated from Indiana University and earned his MBA from Bellarmine University. He serves on the boards of the Kentucky Hospital Association, the American Red Cross, and the LouMed Medical and Education District.


The Board of Water Works is the seven-member, bi-partisan governing body for Louisville Water Company. The mayor serves ex-officio and appoints the remaining six members for staggered, four-year terms.
