Librarians Learn about Our Educational Resources

JCPS LibrariansAbout 300 JCPS librarians are heading back to school with information on Louisville Water’s educational programs and the children’s book featuring our Tapper mascot.

Members of Louisville Water’s Education & Outreach Team participated in the JCPS Librarians Summer Academy, an annual professional development session that featured keynote speaker Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman this year, along with Dr. Lynn Reynolds, Executive Director of Library Media Services for JCPS.

Louisville Water educators showcased our range of school programs and made sure the librarians are aware of a special presentation focused on Tapper’s Big Adventure: Where’s the Water.

“We do this program at libraries all over our service area,” said Barbara Crow, Louisville Water Community Relations Specialist. “It includes a special guest appearance by Tapper.”

The team also signed up librarians for our newsletter for educators, H2knOw, and made sure everyone stayed hydrated because (as you can see in the photo) there were plenty of coolers full of Louisville Pure Tap®.
