One of the most beautiful places in Louisville is the Crescent Hill Gatehouse. And during our popular Walking Wednesday series, you can take a rare peek inside this three-story Gothic structure was designed to resemble a castle along the Rhine River in Germany.

Special this month, Comfy Cow will have ice cream available for purchase at the Reservoir from 5 p.m to 7 p.m! Treat yourself to a back-to-school scoop!

Walking Wednesdays are held the second Wednesday of the month from May through September. Louisville Water staff open the historic Gatehouse to visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It’s located on Reservoir Avenue between Frankfort Avenue and Brownsboro Road and free and open to the public.
