Louisville Water and Local 1683 co-sponsored eight children for the Salvation Army Angel tree this year.
Plumber Leader Shawn Shaw coordinated shopping for the gifts and donations from employees.
“We spent an average of $250 per angel. I made sure they all got two or more outfits, a coat, shoes, socks, underwear, and toys,” Shaw said.
The angels that received the donations ranged from ages six to 12.
“I just want to thank (everyone) for jumping on board and partnering with us to make some kids’ Christmas a lot brighter this year,” Shaw said.
