Craig Willman stepped down from the Board of Water Works (BOWW), the seven-member, bi-partisan governing body for Louisville Water, at the December meeting.
A retired Louisville firefighter, Willman joined the board in 2013. Kelley Dearing Smith, Louisville Water Vice President of Communications and Marketing, said Willman’s greatest assets were “his diligence in being an ambassador for our employees and his staunch support of building Louisville Water’s brand.”
Willman “also spent a considerable amount of time working with company and union leadership to continually improve our partnership,” Dearing Smith said. “He always put his ‘employee’ hat on when we were looking at a topic that would impact benefits, quality of life, and our overall image in the community.”
Willman recently served as BOWW vice chair. He was involved in marketing and audit committees, helped guide Louisville Water’s most recent strategic business plan, and represented Louisville Water on the One Water board.
