Mission accepted to impact positive change within Louisville Water and in our community!
The Louisville Water Service Board formed in June with a goal to increase employee engagement and to find ways to give back to organizations helping make our neighborhoods a better place.
Employees applied in May for a spot on the inaugural Service Board. Members from various Louisville Water locations were selected in June to create the 10-member Board.
One thing they all had in common: a genuine desire to help others and make a difference in our city.
The group went straight to work and already launched its first fundraiser. Louisville Water employees are donating and collecting school supplies for local students.
Board members will help JCPS organizers sort the supplies and stuff backpacks which will be handed out at one of the school district’s upcoming “Back to School Festivals.”
For General Counsel VP of Compliance, Michael Tigue, the Service Board is the answer to a long-awaited dream. “We have such great people working with us at Louisville Water. Big hearts and big ideas.” Tigue hopes many others will feel compelled to step up and get involved with projects the group has planned. “I’m very excited to see what comes next.”
A top priority for the Service Board is to encourage participation in fundraising events to support local charities that are making a difference in our neighborhoods. Stay tuned for details on how YOU can get involved in our mission to impact change!
